The following teams were members of the Alabama High School Athletic Association the 3rd year of its existence. I listed the teams as they appear in the handbook with the more commonly used school name in parenthesis. I also added question marks (???) after teams we know nothing about at this moment. It very well could be that these schools did not field football teams.

In 1970 Monroe Academy won the first championship in the A.I.S.A. by defeating Lowndes Academy 6-0.
