 The 1964 Linden Patriots were chosen as Class 2A  State Champions by the Birmingham Post-Herald.
 Summary:
 
Linden notched their second state title in three years leading in the rankings from week one. The Red Devils won the championship in spectacular fashion when they clashed with unbeaten, untied and second ranked Gordo in the final game of the season. Linden won that game by a 13-0 score and could lay claim to the Class 2A title.
