Game: Played Saturday December 7, 1985 at Legion Field, Birmingham
 
Summary:
         MVP Wide receiver David Hogan caught three touchdown passes to lead Northview to a 32-15 win over Huffman in the Class 6A championship game. Hogan caught touchdown passes of 13, 32 and 6 yards. Aristole Kirkland also returned a fumble 86 yards for a score. Mike Henry also intercepted two passes.
         Huffman struck first on a Chris Tippett 41-yard run with 4:03 remaining in the first stanza. The Vikings drove to the Northview 8-yard line on their next possession before Kirkland scooped up a fumble at the 14 and ran it back for the Northview touchdown.
         Huffman's last score came with just 1:07 remaining on a 7-yard Joe Greene run. The win assured Northview of their second state championship in five years.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
