The heralded Clay County defense lived up to its billing by posting its ninth shutout of the season. It limited the Southern Choctaw Indians to 183 total yards and seven first downs. Senior strong safety Franklin Few, named the game's most valuable player, had two interceptions and made a touchdown-saving tackle on the final play of the first half to preserve a 10-0 lead.
