I did manage to get in some research this past week at the Auburn Library. I tried to scrap up some of the missing scores for the Birmingham area schools for the 1950-1969 era. It is very time consuming because of the size of the daily newspapers.

I tired of that fairly quickly and decided to take another approach that I will continue. The library has an abundance of newspapers for the 1961-72 timeframe so I will concentrate on them for a time. I got through the Birmingham Post, Selma, Dothan, Opelika, Florence, Tuscaloosa and Hunstville papers for 1961. I will work to get 1962-72 as time goes by and we should be able to fill in a lot of blanks for the teams we need scores for.
