1965 Monroe County vs. Frisco City

The 1965 edition of the Monroe County Tigers were led by Mike Segers, an all state alternate as selected by the Birmingham News and Birmingham Post-Herald. The Tigers came into the game with a 7-1-1 record after winning their first six games before tying Clarke County and losing to rival T.R. Miller in a close game 6-0.

The Tigers would defeat the Whippetts 38-0 on this November 12th evening in 1965. Two long fumble returns for touchdowns would seal the fate of the Whippets.

Monroe County would finish the year 8-1-1 and ranked #10 in the final AP poll by outscoring their opponents 169-45.
