The following updates are needed for Coaches at Macon Academy.

Dan Martin - (1969-1972). Record 19-11-1
When Dan left Macon Academy in the Spring of 1973, he retired from coaching. He did not coach at Thompson, Locust Fork, or west End as far as I know. He was at Macon Academy 1969-1972 and could not have been at those schools then. Also, Dan came to Macon Academy from Florala.

Jimmy Wilson - (1973-1976) Record 14-25-3
I hired Jerry Pugh in the 1977 season, and I stayed on as the Athletic Director and Junior High Coach

Ronnie Jackson - (1983) Record 4-7
Score against Chambers needs to be changed to a win for Macon 13-0
Score against Hooper needs to be marked as a loss. Score will be provided later.

Davis Melton - (1884) Record 2-8
Davis Melton - (1985) Record 4-6
Coach Melton was the Coach at Tuskegee High School previously. That record is right

Jimmy Wilson -(1986) Record 6-5
Jimmy Wilson- (1987) Record 4-6
Jimmy Wilson - (1988) Record 3-5. Some scores need to be changed later.

Donald Murphy - (1989-1992). Will check on record

Jerry Pugh did not coach at Macon again after his last season there in 1882

I see we also need the school's address, and name of the stadium or field where the home games were played, to complete the home page for the team. If you can provide those as well, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for this information. I really appreciate it when coaches take the time to assist us in getting everything straight. Information comes from so many different sources and sometimes we simply just get it wrong.

I think I have all this entered now.

Any further information on Macon Academy will also be appreciated.

Macon Academy did not have a Home Field until 1968 when the field was built on the future home of the new school facility on Hwy 29 South, 5 miles from Tuskegee. The field and stadium did not have an official name. Also, the team colors were Red, White, and Royal Blue.
