 High School Bio:

            Whaley played end and tackle position at Lineville. His athletic honors included 1962 All-State honoree in Basketball in 1963 and he was voted the Most Valuable Player in the Sixth District South Basketball Tournament in 1963. He was a track man as well. He played three years of varsity football and during his senior year he caught five touchdown passes.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
