 High School Bio:

            Sylacauga High School quarterback and defensive back. Steve played two years of varsity football and was Captain of his squad. His specialty was punting. He made 535 yards with 130 attempts rushing. He completed 50 passes out of 105 attempts for 640 yards. He scored thirteen touchdowns and passed for 10 for touchdowns. His average for punting was 35.2. He was All-County; Honorable Mention All-State Football; All-County; All-District in Basketball; State Doubles Champion in Tennis; Most Valuable Back.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Collinsville completed the 1931 season with a record of 1-4-5. The five ties will forever be a state record since all games are now decided by overtime.
