            Putmans athletic honors include: All-State, All-City three years, All-American baseball, he received four varsity letters. He played four years varsity football and was captain of his squad one year. His specialty was defense, receiving passes. Grid statistics, 5 touchdown passes, his school record was won 6 and lost 3.
