            Williams honors include All-County 2 years, captain of football and baseball teams, most athletic of the school, all-county baseball 2 years; all-star baseball 2 years. Other sports; lettered in track 4 years, letterman in baseball. In his three years varsity football his specialty was running. Statistics; average over 5 yards per carry, scored 15 touchdowns.

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
