            Kirkland lettered four years… In 1959, won Outstanding Lineman trophy, captained the team and was All-State… Also participated in baseball, basketball… officially had 67 tackles and 28 assists last year, kicking 10 extra points.

Clay County shutout an amazing eleven opponents in 1996. The Panthers outscored their opponents 613-42 finishing the season 15-0.
