Lawrence County completed the 2017 season with a 5-6 record. With their 3-4 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 5A region eight, the Red Devils earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Lawrence County's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Mortimer Jordan by a score of 28-12. The Red Devils last playoff victory came during the 2001 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win. Since 2010, Lawrence County has gone a combined 31-52. Their 37.0% winning percentage ranks 44th in Class 5A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Lawrence County has managed to compile a record of 106-145. Their 42.0% winning percentage ranks 44th in Class 5A and 261st in the AHSAA. The Red Devils are led by head coach Rich Dutton who is entering his seventh season at the helm.
