 2018 Preview

Meadowview Christian finished the 2017 season with a disappointing 1-7 record.

The Trojans would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 4-13 record. Since 2010, the Meadowview Christian football program has struggled with a record of 18-56.

Over the past 25 seasons, Meadowview Christian has managed to compile a record of 91-156. Their 37.0% winning percentage ranks 13th in Class A and 34th in the AISA.

The Trojans will be under the direction of new head football coach Bob Taylor as they enter the 2018 season.

Coach Taylor's overall record as a head football coach in fourteen season stands at 66-80 (45.2%). Over the course of his career, Coach Taylor's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of eight times .

The Meadowview Christian Trojans will play in Class A region one during the 2018 season. The Trojans move up in classification to Class A. They may find the going slightly tougher with the move.

It will be an uphill battle for the Trojans if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region one this season. After just a single win last year, Meadowview Christian will be hopeful of winning a few more games this season.

The Trojans open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Jackson Academy on Thursday, August 30 at Wasden Field. Last year the Jackson Academy Eagles finished with an overall record of 7-4 and in third place in Class AA region two. The Eagles lost in the first round of the Class AA playoffs to Lakeside by a score of 35-34.

Meadowview Christian and Jackson Academy have met a total of 18 times on the football field. The Trojans have a 6-11-1 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2013 with Jackson Academy winning by a score of 40-8.
