Mobile Christian completed the 2017 season with a 9-4 record. With their 5-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 3A region one, the Leopards earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Mobile Christian lost in the quarter-finals of the playoffs last season to a good Clarke County team by a score of 21-16. The Leopards had some tough luck last season as three of their four losses were by less than eight points. The defense was very stingy last season as Mobile Christian ranked 28th in the AHSAA. The defense allowed only 12.9 points a game. Over the past two seasons the Leopards have gone 22-6 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. Since 2010, Mobile Christian has gone a combined 66-33. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 3A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Mobile Christian has managed to compile a record of 174-104. Their 63.0% winning percentage ranks 7th in Class 3A and 71st in the AHSAA. The Leopards are led by head coach Ronnie Cottrell who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 22-6 over the past two seasons at Mobile Christian. Under his direction the Leopards have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have won one region crown with Coach Cottrell. Coach Cottrell's overall record as a head football coach in thirteen season stands at 85-63 (57.4%). The Mobile Christian Leopards will play in Class 3A region one during the 2018 season. Mobile Christian enters the 2018 season with a string of 18 consecutive wins on their home field at Harrison Field. The Leopards should be considered one of the favorites for the region one championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs. The Leopards open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Pelahatchie MS on Friday, August 24 at Harrison Field. This will be the second meeting between Mobile Christian and Pelahatchie MS on the football field. The Leopards have a 1-0-0 record against Pelahatchie MS.
