Montgomery Academy completed the 2017 season with a 9-3 record. Last year Montgomery Academy captured the region three title and a number one seed in the Class 3A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Montgomery Academy reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to American Christian by a score of 35-21. Since 2010, Montgomery Academy has gone a combined 56-34. Their 62.0% winning percentage ranks 15th in Class 3A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Montgomery Academy has managed to compile a record of 170-107. Their 61.0% winning percentage ranks 8th in Class 3A and 86th in the AHSAA. The Eagles are led by head coach Gary Nelson who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 16-7 over the past two seasons at Montgomery Academy.
