 2018 Preview

Moody completed the 2017 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Moody just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 5A region five with a 2-5 region record.

The Blue Devils last playoff victory came during the 2004 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win.

Moody was inconsistent offensively last year and they need some improvement if the Blue Devils want to be competitive. They only averaged 14.7 points a game.

Since 2010, Moody has gone a combined 33-49. Their 40.0% winning percentage ranks 40th in Class 5A over the past eight seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Moody has managed to compile a record of 103-147. Their 41.0% winning percentage ranks 46th in Class 5A and 270th in the AHSAA.

It will be an uphill battle for the Blue Devils if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region five this season.

The Blue Devils open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Etowah on Friday, August 31 at Jim Glover Field. Last year the Etowah Blue Devils finished with an overall record of 11-2 and in first place in Class 5A region seven.
