 2018 Preview 


       The Pike Road Patriots will field a football team for the first time this fall. They will be led by head football coach Patrick Browning as they prepare for their initial season on the gridiron. Their last losing season was 1932. Their last winning season was 1933.




       The Patriots will be under the direction of new head football coach Patrick Browning as they enter the 2018 season.

       The Pike Road Patriots will play in Class 3A region three during the 2018 season. The Patriots will have a difficult time competing in Class 3A with a young team in their initial season.

       This season, the Patriots will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in region three.

       The Patriots open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Calhoun on Friday, August 24. Last year the Calhoun Tigers finished with an overall record of 0-10 and in seventh place in Class 2A region three. The Tigers closed out the regular season with a loss to Geneva by a score of 45-0.

       Pike Road and Calhoun have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Patriots have a 4-0-0 record against the Tigers. They last met in with
