Tallassee completed the 2017 season with a 10-2 record. With their 6-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 4A region three, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Tallassee reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Bibb County by a score of 41-16. The Tigers won as many games as in any season since 1999. The Knights lost in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs to UMS-Wright by a score of 28-14. Tallassee and Catholic Montgomery have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 3-1-0 record against the Knights. They last met in 1957 with Tallassee winning by a score of 25-6. Tallassee returns 4A All-State receiver Kalvin Levett. He was named to the honorable mention team last season. The Tigers also return athlete Trent Cochran-Gill.
