2018 Preview | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Dadeville completed the 2017 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Dadeville just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 4A region three with a 2-5 region record. Dadeville took a step backwards last year with their first losing season since 2007. Since 2010, Dadeville has gone a combined 67-28. Their 70.0% winning percentage ranks 6th in Class 3A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Dadeville has managed to compile a record of 168-109. Their 61.0% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class 3A and 84th in the AHSAA. The Tigers are led by head coach Richard White who is entering his nineteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 132-75 over the past eighteen seasons at Dadeville. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of fourteen times. They have won four region crowns with Coach White. Coach White's overall record as a head football coach in eighteen season stands at 132-75 (63.8%). His 132 wins rank 36th among active coaches in the AHSAA. The Dadeville Tigers will play in Class 3A region three during the 2018 season. The Tigers may find the schedule slightly easier this season with the move down in classification from Class 4A to 3A. They will compete in region three this year. With a little luck and some improvement, the Tigers could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region three this season. Dadeville missed the playoffs the past couple of seasons but hope to return to the post season in 2018. The Tigers open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Horseshoe Bend on Thursday, August 23 at Battle Stadium. Last year the Horseshoe Bend Generals finished with an overall record of 3-7 and in seventh place in Class 2A region five. The Generals closed out the regular season with a loss to Wadley by a score of 62-6. Dadeville and Horseshoe Bend have met a total of 10 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 10-0-0 record against the Generals. They last met in 2011 with Dadeville winning by a score of 54-6. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
