Maplesville completed the 2017 season with a 11-1 record. The Red Devils cruised through the regular season with a perfect 9-0 record going into the post season. Last year Maplesville captured the region three title and a number one seed in the Class 1A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Maplesville lost in the quarter-finals of the playoffs last season to a good Sweet Water team by a score of 26-21.

The Red Devils defense dominated most opponents as they ranked 14th in the AHSAA. The defense gave up just 10.8 points a game.

Over the past two seasons the Red Devils have gone 25-1 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. As one of the best football programs in the state since 2010, Maplesville has gone a combined 101-7. Their 94.0% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class 1A over the past eight seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Maplesville has gone a combined 253-59. Their 81.0% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class 1A and 2nd in the AHSAA. The Red Devils have been successful on the football field with twenty-two winning seasons during this time. Their last losing season was 2004.

The Red Devils are led by head coach Brent Hubbert who is entering his fifteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 154-24 over the past fourteen seasons at Maplesville. Under his direction the Red Devils have qualified for the playoffs a total of fourteen times. They have won ten region crowns with Coach Hubbert. They are considered one the favorites in region three and should be a team in the thick of the hunt to represent the South in the Class 1A Super Seven come December.
