Reeltown completed the 2017 season with a 7-5 record. With their 5-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 2A region five, the Rebels earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Reeltown reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Sulligent by a score of 35-25. Since 2010, Reeltown has gone a combined 69-29. Their 70.0% winning percentage ranks 7th in Class 2A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Reeltown has gone a combined 197-98. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 10th in Class 2A and 49th in the AHSAA. Their last losing season was 2007. The Rebels are led by head coach Matt Johnson who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 13-10 over the past two seasons at Reeltown. Under his direction the Rebels have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Johnson. The Rebels open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Bullock County on Thursday, August 23 at Bryant Foster Field. Last year the Bullock County Hornets finished with an overall record of 2-8 and in seventh place in Class 4A region two. The Hornets ended last season on a positive note with a win over Barbour County by a score of 54-6 after failing to gain a playoff spot. Reeltown and Bullock County have met a total of 9 times on the football field. The Rebels have a 4-5-0 record against the Hornets.
