The Panthers open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Cedar Bluff on Friday, August 31 at Bruce Field. Last year the Cedar Bluff Tigers finished with an overall record of 7-4 and in first place in Class 1A region six. The Tigers lost in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs to South Lamar by a score of 21-14. Spring Garden and Cedar Bluff have met a total of 50 times on the football field.
