Greensboro completed the 2021 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Greensboro just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 3A region three with a 2-4 region record. The Raiders last playoff victory came during the 2000 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win. Since 2010, Greensboro has gone a combined 58-68. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 36th in Class 3A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Greensboro has managed to compile a record of 125-146. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 38th in Class 3A and 233rd in the AHSAA. The Raiders are led by head coach Winston Johnson who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 4-6 record in his first season at Greensboro. The Raiders have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Johnson. Coach Johnson's overall record as a head football coach in one season stands at 4-6 (40.0%). The Greensboro Raiders will play in Class 3A region three during the 2022 season. It will be an uphill battle for the Raiders if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region three this season. The Raiders open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Greene County on Friday, August 19. Last year the Greene County Tigers finished with an overall record of 5-6 and in third place in Class 2A region one. The Tigers lost in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs to Luverne by a score of 41-6. Greensboro and Greene County have met a total of 12 times on the football field.
