Their 43.0% winning percentage ranks 24th in Class 7A and 251st in the AHSAA. The Generals will be under the direction of new head football coach DreQuay Everett as they enter the 2022 season. Coach Everett served as the offensive coordinator for the Generals last season. The Lee Generals will play in Class 7A region two during the 2022 season. The Generals move up in classification to Class 7A. They may find the going slightly tougher with the move. Region two will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season. The Generals should be in contention for a playoff spot in region two this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. The Generals open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Sidney Lanier on Saturday, August 20 at Cramton Bowl. Last year the Sidney Lanier Poets finished with an overall record of 2-8 and in eighth place in Class 6A region two. Lee and Sidney Lanier have met a total of 68 times on the football field. The Generals have a 45-21-2 record against the Poets. They last met in 2021 with Lee winning by a score of 6-20. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
