 2022 Preview 


       Northridge completed the 2021 season with a 7-4 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 6A region four, the Jaguars earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Northridge's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Opelika by a score of 45-20.

       Since 2010, Northridge has gone a combined 58-70. Their 45.3% winning percentage ranks 40th in Class 6A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 19 seasons, Northridge has managed to compile a record of 81-117. Their 41.0% winning percentage ranks 45th in Class 6A and 277th in the AHSAA.




       The Jaguars will be under the direction of new head football coach Ryan Lolley as they enter the 2022 season.  Coach Lolley moves to Northridge after serving as the head football coach at Gordo the past few seasons.

       Coach Lolley's overall record as a head football coach in nine season stands at 99-18 (84.6%). Over the course of his career, Coach Lolley's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times and won six region championships.

       Coach Lolley can top the 100 win milestone early in the season with just one more victory.

       The Northridge Jaguars will play in Class 6A region four during the 2022 season.

       The Jaguars should be in contention for a playoff spot in region four this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game.

       The Jaguars open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Oak Mountain on Friday, August 19 at Heardmont Park Sportsplex/Eagle Stadium. Last year the Oak Mountain Eagles finished with an overall record of 7-5 and in fourth place in Class 7A region three. The Eagles lost in the second round of the Class 7A playoffs to Thompson by a score of 45-7.

       Northridge and Oak Mountain have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Jaguars have a 2-2-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2011 with Northridge winning by a score of 22-7.
