 2023 Preview 


       Chambers Academy completed the 2022 season with a 8-4 record. Last year Chambers Academy captured the region one title and a number one seed in the Class AA playoffs. They finished region play with a 4-0 record. Last year Chambers Academy reached the semi-finals before falling to a very good Clarke Prep team by the score of 24-21.

       The Rebels lost as many games as in any season since 2014.

       Since 2010, Chambers Academy has gone a combined 110-45. Their 71.0% winning percentage ranks 2nd in Class AA over the past thirteen seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Chambers Academy has managed to compile a record of 171-117. Their 59.0% winning percentage ranks 5th in Class AA and 11th in the AISA.




       The Rebels are led by head coach Jason Allen who is entering his nineteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 146-68 over the past eighteen seasons at Chambers Academy. Under his direction the Rebels have qualified for the playoffs a total of fifteen times. They have won ten region crowns with Coach Allen. Coach Allen has won two state championships at Chambers Academy, the last coming in 2020. His 167 wins rank 5th among active coaches in the AISA. Over the course of his career, Coach Allen's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of eighteen times and won ten region championships.

       The Rebels enter the 2023 season having won 10 straight region games.

      

       The Rebels open the 2023 season at home against non-region opponent Heritage GA on Friday, August 25 at Torbert-Allen Field.

       This will be the second meeting between Chambers Academy and Heritage GA on the football field. The Rebels have a 1-0-0 record against Heritage GA. They last met in with

       Chambers Academy lost AISA All-State  defensive lineman Ryan Smith. to graduation. He was named to the first team last season. Also graduating was teammate running back Luke Tarver.

       The Rebels return AISA All-State Senior offensive lineman Jake Owens. He was named to the first team last season. The Rebels also return Junior running back Braxton Yerta. He was named to the second team. The Rebels also return Senior kicker Noah Hands. He was named to the honorable mention team.
