 2024 Preview 


       Valiant Cross Academy finished the 2023 season with a disappointing 0-9 record.

       The defense allowed a team record 287 points last season.

       The Warriors would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 4-16 record.

       Valiant Cross Academy is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only four seasons. They have managed a record of 9-29 over the past four years.

Head Coach:
       The Warriors are led by head coach Oscar Berry who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 0-9 record in his first season at Valiant Cross Academy. The Warriors have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Berry.

        Coach Berry's overall record as a head football coach in Alabama for one  stands at 0-9 (%).

Season Outlook:

       The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors will play in Class AAA region one during the 2024 season.

      

       The Warriors enter the 2024 season in the middle of a 10 game losing streak. They would like nothing better than to end the string of losses early in the season.

      

    This season, the Warriors will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in region one. After not winning a single game last year, the goal at Valiant Cross Academy will be to simply win some games.

Season Opener:
       The Warriors open the 2024 season on the road against non-region opponent Abbeville Christian on Friday, August 30 at Generals Stadium. Last year the Abbeville Christian Generals finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in fifth place in Class AA region one. The Generals closed out the regular season with a loss to Lakeside by a score of 47-0.

       This will be the second meeting between Valiant Cross Academy and Abbeville Christian on the football field. The Warriors have a 0-1-0 record against the Generals. They last met in with
