Cottage Hill Christian finished the 2023 season with a disappointing 2-8 record. Last year Cottage Hill Christian finished seventh in Class 3A region one with a 1-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Warriors lost as many games as in any season since 2015. Cottage Hill Christian was inconsistent offensively last year and they need some improvement if the Warriors want to be competitive. They only averaged 15.7 points a game. Since 2010, Cottage Hill Christian has gone a combined 54-86. Their 38.6% winning percentage ranks 44th in Class 3A over the past fourteen seasons. Over the past 23 seasons, Cottage Hill Christian has managed to compile a record of 89-140. Their 39.0% winning percentage ranks 45th in Class 3A and 299th in the AHSAA. Graduated All-State Players: Cottage Hill Christian lost 3A All-State athlete Shadrick Toodle to graduation. He was named to the second team last season. Season Outlook: The Cottage Hill Christian Warriors will play in Class 3A region one during the 2024 season. The Warriors have not reached the playoffs since 2019 and would like to end that streak this season. Second year coach Carvel Jones will be out to make sure that happens. The Warriors will need to win a few more games this fall if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region one this season. After just 2 wins last year, Cottage Hill Christian will be hoping to become more competitive in the region. Players to Watch in 2024: OLB Shadarius Toodle collected 103 tackles and will be back for his junior season in 2023. Returning Starters: LB Shadarius Toodle, FB/MLB Lecedric Craig, FB/LB Andrew White, LB Caden Wiggins, CB/WR Danny Thomas, WR/TE Caleb Metzner Season Opener: The Warriors open the 2024 season at home against non-region opponent Washington County on Friday, August 23 at Kingdom Stadium. Last year the Washington County Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 4-7 and in fourth place in Class 2A region one. The Bulldogs lost in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs to B.B. Comer by a score of 49-0. Cottage Hill Christian and Washington County have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Warriors have a 2-1-0 record against the Bulldogs.
