The Memorable Games - The Book
The Memorable Games - The Book | |
Many Alabama high school football games are memorable and exciting with dramatic endings and surprising results. These are the games that have been lost among the thousands of scores
each season.
It is our goal to bring back the memories of the greatest games ever played in Alabama at the high school level.
While most are games that ended with a spectacular comeback or a remarkable play, some are more memorable for other reasons. Among our list of games are overtimes, strange rules that came into play, court rulings that changed the outcome of a game and star players. |
|
Our list begins with a top ten of the most memorable games. These are the contests that define high school football in the state.
The remaining games will be more familiar to the fans of those teams than they are to fans from other parts of the state.
It is our goal to preserve the memories of the greatest games ever played. There have been many other games which will never be forgotten by the fans of each and every school. The book is called "The Memorable Games" A History of Alabama High School Football. While much of the book is on the website there will be even more games included in the printed version. With the assistance of others the book is a much better format for exploring the state's great high school football history. The book contains 195 pages and is 8-1/2" x 11". It is filled with the 59 chapters about the best games, players and coaches in the history of high school football in Alabama. I hope you will give it a try and let me know what you think.
