Todd Watson


Todd Watson is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He played football, basketball, and baseball at Alba High School until his senior year when he transferred to Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette.

An all-county selection in football and baseball, Coach Watson graduated from Baldwin County in 1989 and accepted a baseball scholarship to Jefferson Davis Junior College and then to the University of Mobile in 1990.

Coach Watson graduated from the University of Mobile in 1993 and returned to Alba as an assistant football and head baseball coach.

Alba merged with Grand Bay High School to form Alma Bryant High School in 1998 and coach Watson served as the defensive coordinator at the new school for two seasons before joining Rush Propst at Hoover in 2000.

Coach Watson served as assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, and linebacker coach during his time at Hoover. In 2005, Watson became the head football coach and athletic director at Foley High School.

In his ten seasons with the Lions, his teams finished with a combined 80-36 record. Each of his teams qualified for the playoffs and the 2007 team went 12-1 which is the most wins in the history of the school.

Following the 2014 season, Watson resigned at Foley to accept a position at Troy.
