Alan Brooks
Alan Brooks graduated from Sylacauga High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He received his degree from Jacksonville State.
Brooks took over the football program at Lincoln in the fall of 1975. For the next 28 seasons he led the Golden Bears football team onto the field before retiring after the 2002 season.
Brooks guided the Golden Bears to ten playoff berths during his tenure. His 1999 team reached the Class 3A State Championship game before getting throttled by Briarwood Christian 55-19.
His overall record is 174-132-1 in 28 years as the head football coach at Lincoln.
Coach Brooks was named the Coach of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 1999. His son, Matt was accepted the head coach position at Childersburg in 2009.
