Alabama High School Football Head Coaches

Ben Glover


Ben Glover was a graduate of Leroy High School and Mississippi State.

Glover got his first head coaching job at Repton High School in 1961. He stayed for one season before moving over to Washington County High School in Chatom for the 1962 football season.

In 1965, Glover accepted the head football coaching assignment at B.C. Rain High School in Mobile. He remained as the head coach for four seasons. His overall coaching record is 25-30-1 in 6 years as a head coach.

His contribution to Mobile County high school athletics goes well beyond the playing field. Glover worked in various public schools in Alabama for over 30 years, 15 at B.C. Rain. Glover was a teacher, coach, athletic director and administrator. He also served on the District Board of the AHSAA Central Board of Control.
