Alabama High School Football Head Coaches

Gene Hulsey


Gene Hulsey became the head football coach at Shelby Academy in 1977. In 1984 he was at Tarrant for one season with a 1-9 record.

In 1987, Coach Hulsey moved to Verbena where he remained for the next 15 seasons. His teams went 81-83 and qualified for the playoffs eight times.
