John Galloway
John Wayne Galloway was a native of Bessemer, Alabama. He began his 39 year career in education as an assistant football coach at Fairfield High School.
Galloway accepted the head coaching position at Jones Valley High School in 1975 where he remained for the next eleven seasons. His next stop came at Hueytown High School in 1986 for another seven seasons as the head football coach.
Following the 1992 season, Coach Galloway retired from the head football coaching profession. He furthered his career as Vice Principal at Shades Valley High School before becoming Principal at Childersburg High School and Talladega Central High School.
Coach Galloways overall football record is 95-86-1 in eighteen years as a head football coach in Alabama. Coach Galloway, age 65, a resident of Phoenix, AZ., passed away on March 6, 2013.
