Posted - 08/16/2014 : 20:46:35 I know football season is upon us but I managed to get some basketball work in prior to the season. I added most of the coaches for every team back to 1968. I used the coaches directories from Bill Plott to accomplish this.
The directories are printed in the late spring or early summer so sometimes they can be wrong about late coaching changes. But, at least we have a starting point for the teams.
It is interesting to see how many football coaches actually coached the other sports back in the day.
It is also interesting to see all the different schools for each coach.
I will be working as time permits on the basketball coaches back to 1950 over the next few months. I will also work on baseball and the other sports later.
