Well actually a couple of questions to get you thinking a couple of months before the season starts.

Who is the most impressive sports personality you ever met or got an autograph from? I mean impressive to you and not necessarily impressive to the rest of the world.

Secondly, who is the one sports personality you would like to meet? By meet I mean to spend a few minutes with talking or just listening.

Neither question is strictly related to Alabama high school football or even just football. I just thought it would be interesting to hear some stories about what others think or have done.

#1 I hate to say this because I am a Yankee fan but Tommy Lasorda. I meet him probably 10 years ago at ABCA convention in Nashville. He was with Rod Dedaux, Gene Stephenson, Bobby Valentine, and others at a seafood place. We probably talked 5 minutes about nothing but baseball.

#2 Derek Jeter beacuse he seems the epitome of class.
