Clay Chalkville just goes about their business doesn't get much attention in the media or around the area.
The defending champs are ranked third and just keep going about their business quietly.
Then boom you look up and they in semis or the finals and then beat you and be surprised.
Shout out to Clay-Chalkville just going out and doing what they do without all the hype.

I was not surprised at how high they are ranked this week in the AHSFHS Power Ratings.

First off Mr. Parker, thank you for giving us a platform to discuss High School football across the state of Alabama.
I live around the Birmingham area and the talk here has been about Parker with a little Clay Chalkville. Most of the articles were about Parker.
Saraland has been good for a number of years now so of course they will get love from the media and the sportswriters.
When I made my post about the forgotten team I wasn't talking about this site which I should have clarified. I was talking mainly about the local media and the sportswriters association. The rankings back what I'm saying up from the ASWA polls.
Clay Chalkville is ranked 3rd behind Saraland and Parker. What the heck has Parker done to be ranked ahead of Clay Chalkville in the ASWA polls?
That is why I posted the forgotten team. The media is proping up Parker and Saraland and seems to just forget it seems that Clay Chalkville is reigning defending state champs.
So my post wasn't aimed at this site. This site does a terrific job about being neutral.
So maybe that clears up my post about the forgotten team.

Every article about 6A always has Clay-Chalkville listed as a top team way more than Parker.

Parker and Saraland haave had way more hype to start the year than Clay Chalkville. Both of those teams are terrific teams. So is Clay Chalkville.
