Hey guys just wanted to chime in about a game this weekend. I?m sure by now everyone has seen this score or heard about the game. I?m sure everyone also knows of Alvin Henderson and his accomplishments. The kid is a stud RB and will probably be a start at the next level in my opinion. But I wanted to share some stats of the McKenzie players as well. We don?t normally get the headlines or spotlight so we are enjoying it while we can.

Quay Jackson QB accounted for 9 total TD 6 passing 345 yards, 3 rushing TD113yards.
Skylar Sander. 180 yards receiving 4 TD
Ayden Willsey. 153 rushing 2 TD
Jay Jackson. 1 TD. ?Committed to Troy?

We started the game with 3 straight fumbles two of them on kickoffs gave Elba very short field. Got down 14-0 very quick. At the half we come back ahead 20-14. Start of the 4th quarter we were up 34 -20. 4th quarter got real interesting lol. But you guy can see my point I hope. Both teams left it all on the field just want to share some stats from the McKenzie side of thing.

I'm glad you posted this to spotlight the performances of these kids! I know we mention it a lot here between the podcast and the Barber Shop Gurus that there are certain parts of the state, particularly in the smaller classifications, where it's really tough to dig up information on some teams. We love spotlighting programs that may not get talked about all the time. It's just hard to really write or talk about a team when you can't find any information on them.

McKenzie is almost certainly going to be ranked in the ASWA poll this week after this upset, which will bring added interest to their upcoming games, and getting this kind of info on the team just increases the likelihood we can discuss them even more in the coming weeks on the podcast, BSG, and in the forums.

Glad to see these kids get the recognition they deserve!
