Thompson has made the state championship game for 8 straight years now.
In their previous 7, they are 5-2. I look for them to win their second in a row and make it 6-2. But thats a different subject.
Just curious if anyone else has made a state championship game 8 years in a row and what their record was?
If I looked right, I see Hazelwood went 5 straight times in 1988-92 and won all five to go 5-0.
Hoover had two different occasions in 2000-06 and 2008-14. Both going to 7 straight and going 5-2 and 4-3 respectively.
So I am seeing Thompson's 8 straight may be the new record?
Im sorry if I missed this in the tidbits and records section.

You are spot on. Thompson now holds that record. I think we talked about that on the podcast but I forgot about adding it to the tidbits I suppose.
