I'm apparently terrible at picking the winners, but this week seems easier. Of course, that is probably setting me up for failure.
Mae Jemison @ Sparkman - Could be a blowout. Glenwood @ Wadley - Just how good is 1A Wadley? Good enough to beat a really good 3A team? Fayette Co. @ Winfield - Interesting matchup Hamilton @ Sulligent - Blowout Luverne @ Montgomery Acad - Call me a Luverne believer. Falkville @ Colbert Heights - Undefeated 3A team vs 2-2 2A team. Glencoe @ Hokes Bluff - Call it a hunch. Mtn Brook @ Homewood - Mtn Brook seems soft(?) this year. Hoover @ Parker - Parker is loaded. Probably 15-20 players who will go D1. Russell Co. @ Valley - Undefeated 6A vs 3-1 5A team. Pleasant Grove @ Anniston - I didn't realize Anniston got rid of their home field advantage and installed turf before 2024. They used to have an endzone corner completely cut off by the fence. It was hilarious. Good Hope @ Addison - I want to go with Addison, and I think Good Hope's competition has been bad, but this is too big of a jump.
I'm glad we all struggled together, but I hope we all do better. These picks are pretty tough, though. Good luck, everyone, and as always winning team is in bold.
