Mike and I have been working the past month or so to research the Tuscaloosa and Florence areas. I think most all the scores have been added to the website at this point. I will need to do some work from 1977-80 on the Florence area at the Archives because those years had some issues missing from the Florence Times-Daily.
Many schools were affected by the research with quite a few getting completed back to 1950 and many others getting close. Thanks to Mike for his help with this project.
I also completed all the polls back thru the 1980 season. That is when the ASWA began producing polls. Prior to that time the newspapers had been the source for polls which will be more difficult to find.

Today I found that I can access the digital Times-Daily on Google Newspaper Archives. This is the Florence newspaper. It used to be called Florence times and probably had other name changes in the past.
I entered "russellville coffee 1962" and got the article on the Russellville-Coffee game of that year. I changed the dates and pulled up articles on Russellville-Coffee games all the way back to 1930. |

I will list the date the game was suppose to be played on but it could vary a day or two if there was a delay. These are the games for the Florence area we are missing mainly because I can't find issues of the newspaper anywhere.

If someone could check the sources in the Florence area for these scores they owuld forever be my hero. It would complete a bunch of teams back to 1950 and some even further back. Thanks to whoever takes on this endeavor. Let me know if you need anything else.

I appreciate the help. This will fill in a bunch of missing scores for these teams. The Tennessee scores can be hard to come by. Also, good luck with your project. I do look at it from time to time. If we can help you out in Tennessee let me know.
