Munford coach Todd Smith has resigned. He had 10-20 mark in his three years. he told the Anniston Star he wanted to pursue a future in school administration.

Austin High School coach David Norwood resigned in December. The school has narrowed the list down to 4 finalists: Kevin Sherrer of Hoover, Mark Stephens of Spain Park, James Bart Sessions of Prattville, and Bobby Bennett of Cape Fear, North Carolina. Former Calera Head Coach Mac Thompson was also a finalist until his sudden death.

The search committee for the Guntersville head football coaching position has recommended longtime Wildcat assistant coach Lance Reese to succeed Phil Isom, who stepped down in January.
Reese, a native of Cullman, has been on the Guntersville football staff for 19 years.
?The committee voted unanimously to recommend to (Superintendent) Dr. (Dale) Edwards Lance Reese to be the next football coach at Guntersville High School,? said GHS Principal John Richey.
?We met last Thursday and had all of our interviews, and we finalized our decision on Monday.
From the Sand Mountain Reporter
?We just felt Coach Reese was the best candidate of the individuals we interviewed and the applications we looked over.
?We felt he was familiar with the program and was very passionate about the program, and we felt he has a strong desire to take the program and build upon the success we?ve had and continue to move the program forward.?
The Guntersville Board of Education will vote on the committee?s recommendation at its March 29 meeting.

Jason Howard is the new Ohatchee coach leaving Spring Garden open. He had a record of 29-45 at Spring Garden and led them to a playoff win the last two years for the only playoff wins in SG hitory. He replaces Chad Cochran at Ohatchee. Cochran had a 4-16 record in two years at Ohatchee.
