Teams we have already I need to work on:
Florence Christian - Florence
Brooklane Baptist - Hueytown, may be the same as Brrpklane Academy
Marion Military Institute
Marion Academy Same as above??????
Decatur Heritage Christian - I fogot them on the other list but I did them.

New teams I have come across:
Victory Baptist - Millbrook
Trinity - Oxford
Tabernacle - Gardendale
TriCounty Christian - Prattville
Lighthouse Christian - Montgomery
Ellwood Christian - May be the same as Central Christian - Selma
Heritage Christian - Brantley
Evangel Christian - Alabaster
Hope Christian - Pelham
Evangel Family Christian - Montgomery
Golden Acres Christian - Phenix City
East Central Home School - Odenville
Community Christian - Prattville
Freedom Academy - ????
Tuscaloosa Educators Home -

There are many other teams that appear for a game or two every year or so. I am still trying to piece it all together at the moment. The league changed every few years so it is difficult to find consistent information. I am waiting on more from other sources and Joe of course.

Is there a team called Garywood anywhere among those ? I seem to remember them having a team. They're like a half mile from Brooklane in Hueytown.

I guess I can see why it's a bit of a problem to list teams like that when they only play a game here and there. I agree with what you're doing in making sure at least the teams we already have in the site has their 8-man years included.

What website were you speaking of ? I'd be interested to see.

yes, Garywood is one of those in and out teams. There are many more than these. Possibly 20 more teams that played a game or two or for a few seasons.

Max---Preps has the 2004-2010 games but they are kindo screwy how they post the games. Just look for the 8 man leagues and once on a team you can see the games over the years.

I don't like to post other site names here if I can help it. It's a long story about how google works. Someday I will explain it to you.

We are going to see our boys in Atlanta for a few days tomorrow but when I get back the first of the week I will put together a full list of all the teams that ever played 8 Man football and post it. Well, at least the ones I have found so far.

I can provide some additional information on a few of the 8 man teams in our state. I volunteer with Evangel Christian - Alabaster and have the updated 2018 schedule available, along with scores from 2017 games and school profile. Is this the correct place to post all of this info?

First time post and thank you for all of the work on the site. It is a lot of fun to read for HS football fans like myself.

Yes. Please do help. These schools are difficult to keep track of and find all the scores for them. You may post anything you find here.

Thanks

Evangel Christian School (Alabaster) plays a mixed schedule of 8 man and 11 man games. Conference/league affiliation (8 man) is Alabama Christian Sports Conference (ACSC). Home field location 6020 Hwy 119 Montevallo, AL. "State Playoff Champions" should include 2016 & 2017

The 2017 results are accurate with the exception of the two ACSC playoff games:

10/27/17 vs. Hope (W 60-12)
11/3/17 vs. Ezekiel Academy (W 55-14)

This would also increase the career win total for HC Tim Smith to 96.

As for the list of teams at the top, Freedom Academy location is Huntsville; Lighthouse Christian is Oneonta.

As of the end of 2017 the ACSC 8 man football conference included Ezekiel, Lighthouse, Evangel-Alabaster, Lyman Ward Military, and Hope Christian. This could be changing soon as I understand Lyman Ward is exploring a move back to AISA for 2018.

2018 schedule for Evangel-Alabaster is as follows:

8/17 vs. Evangel-Montgomery (11 man)
8/24 @ Kingwood (11 man)
8/31 @ Lowndes Academy (11 man)
9/7 vs. Freedom (8 man)
9/14 vs. Ezekiel (8 man)
9/21 @ Bessemer Academy (11 man)
9/28 vs. Success Unlimited (11 man)
10/5 vs. Lighthouse (8 man - Homecoming)
10/12 @ Freedom (8 man)
10/19 @ Lyman Ward (TBD)
