Tyler Vann is the new head coach at Scottsboro per Jason Bowen (Jackson County Sentinel) I kind of figured this one when Scottsboro came open. Vann is one of the brightest young coaches around. Great hire for Scottsboro.

Go Eagles!

Not too familiar with him but he's in our Region now. What's his style like? One thing that made Scottsboro fun to watch was the old school triple option offense that isn't as common anymore, I'd hate to see it go.

Played good hard nose football at Sylvania. Real good OL and DL play which gave him the ability to run the ball and stop the run. Keys to winning football games.

Okay, this has to be the most interesting hire of the off-season.

Looks like John Ritter. I had heard that a few weeks earlier and I had also heard he was bringing Cam Phinizee with him. Don't know if Phinizee is happening but I have been told that he told his players today that he was heading to Decatur.

Any idea who Russellville would go after? Looking like completely new leadership across the board for the school system which gets my approval.

I have heard Darrell Higgins' name brought up, but I can't truly vouch for it.

depending on what he has on the roster. He will run kind of a hybrid spread. He definitely wants to run first but if he has the skill guys to do it, he will throw it around too. I have had a chance to listen to him speak a couple times and what I like about him is that he is a hard-nosed old school guy in terms of how he runs his program.

Also, the first time I met him he was the coach at woodville. I had taken my son to an appointment, and he had taken one of his players in. I just thought it was awesome of him to take the kid in personally. I know it had to be worked out with the parents but the fact he was willing to do it spoke volumes to me as to what type of young man he was.

Go Eagles!

Chad McKelvey is the new head coach at Dadeville High School in Dadeville, AL

Here is the official report from Dadeville Tiger Nation Facebook Page:
There's a new Sheriff in town! The Chad McKelvey Era of Dadeville football has officially begun. The Tallapoosa county BOE named Mckelvey the head football coach at DHS last night with a unanimous decision. He served as offensive coordinator in the past, where under his tutelage the Tigers were an offensive force to be reckoned with. Coach Mckelvey is a Man of God, very family oriented, and a true Dadeville man! Join us in welcoming Chad as head coach! Go Tigers!
