Dothan and Enterprise are 36 miles apart in southeast Alabama and have met annually since 1961 to settle which team is the king of high school football in that Wiregrass most years. The teams first played in 1913 splitting a pair of games. They played each year through the 1944 season before pausing the rivalry from 1945-1960. When the series resumed in 1961, the Tigers promptly handed the Wildcats their only loss of the season 26-17 to knock them out of any chance at a third straight state championship. The same thing happened in 1965 and 1966 when Dothan won a pair of regular season games to hand the Wildcats their only losses each season. The teams have met a total of 85 times with Enterprise holding a slim 42-40-3 edge in the series. The Wildcats from Enterprise have dominated the series in recent years winning thirteen of the past fourteen meetings. It still remains one of the closet rivalries in the state with Enterprise holding a slim 42-40-3 advantage in the series.
