Summary:
Arrid Gregory scored one touchdown and rushed 15 times for 127 yards as Luverne defeated Plainview and gave legendary coach Glenn Daniel
the first Class 3A championship in his 35 year career. Plainview lost for the second straight season in the finals. In the second half the Luverne
defense limited Plainview to only 11 yards rushing to shut out the Bears after their initial score in the first quarter.
Early in the second half, following a Plainview fumble near midfield,
Gregory ran 54 yards for s touchdown to put Luverne up to stay at 14-7. Two minutes later, after another Bear's fumble, Luverne's Antonio Brown scored on a 15 yard run to seal the victory.
