Summary:
               Steve Stanley hit Corinthian Ricks with a 62 yard touchdown pass and Colbert County made a key defensive stand to beat Luverne for its second straight title. Luverne had tied the game with a 2 yard quarterback sneak by David Watts with 5:50 remaining.
               On the very next play from scrimmage for Colbert County, Stanley threw deep to Ricks who caught the ball around the 12 yard line and sprinted into the end zone for the winning score. Luverne then marched to the Indian's 4 yard line and on a third and goal fumbled the ball where it was recovered by Myron Hampton for Colbert County.
               The victory was sealed with only 52 ticks left on the clock.
