Central Phenix City Red Devils
Adam Winegarden
Winegarden grew up in Memphis, Tenn., and played quarterback at the University of Chattanooga. He spent 10 seasons coaching at Dalton High in Georgia, the final two as the head coach.
He left Dalton to take over at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa where he went 21-3 in two seasons. In 2012 he moved to Fairhope for three seasons where his teams finished 28-8 with three playoff appearances.
Coach Winegarden accepted the head coaching job at Auburn High in 2015 and in six seasons his Tigers went 56-19 and qualified for the playoffs every year. Once again in 2021 he ended up at Tuscaloosa County.
