Guntersville Wildcats
Bill Rayburn
Bill Rayburn received a B.S. and Masters degree in Education from the University of North Alabama.
Rayburns first head coaching job came at Marion County high school in Guin. His fort two teams went 7-9-2 before they won three consecutive state championships. His last three teams finished 37-1 and were 9-0 in the playoffs.
In 1974, he moved to Guntersville where in three seasons his teams went 14-15-2 with one playoff appearance. From there Rayburn moved to Sylacauga for tow seasons before landing at Bradshaw in 1979.
Coach Rayburn stepped down as the head coach at Bradshaw after just one season at the helm to pursue a business interest. He still lives in Hamilton where he is a Wealth Management Advisor for Northwestern Mutual. His overall record is 76-37-4 in only eleven seasons as a head football coach.
